Back to league action, we started May with a narrow loss against Shakhter before holding Altay to a goalless draw.
We then won agaisnt Zhetsyu thanks to a goal from the resurgent Patrick. We then draw 1-1 against Ordabasy, who I considered to be the stronger team.
Just before we face Astana, our talisman, Sai, got injured during training. Luckily, it was only a concussion. Could have been worse!
Still, we managed to win 3-1 despite a slew of changes including the inclusion of our backup striker, Bogdanov.
After another 3-1 win against bottom side Kyzyl-Zhar, we were now in the mid-table but the danger of being in the relegation group still lingers.
Development of players
- Patrick – Six goals in the last seven games and his stock has been steadily rising. He’s now valued at £70,000!
- Shalyshkin – I’ve been including more in the first team as I felt the need to push Anarbek to the left-back position. His growth has been astounding so far. More to come from him, I’m sure.
- Mishkin – Despite featuring in the last few games, I’m still not sure if he will be a good player for us. At least he’s not doing too bad in those games.
In other news, Boskovic finally recovered from his long-term injury and will be a welcome option if Sai gets injured once again.
In the next post, we face Astana in the quarter-finals of the Kazakhstan Cup before completing the final few games of the first stage of the league.
The database I used for this save is the FM17 Megapack 210 Updates by claassen . The one in the link does have more nations to choose from than the one in the save.
